Eat, Pray, Love (Ending)

Today i will continue her intercultural experience in India and Bali.

Looking at the scene in India, The scene shows the clash of cultures that happen between the United States and India. We can see, human communication can increased contact with people who differ identity, knowing culture and technology of other people. For example, India is a poor country and the technology is limited but Liz and Richard get to adapt to the environment, belief, equipment, food and clothing when they were there. The relationship between the two is nicely done although at first they start with a small conflict. There are scenes that Liz and Richard attending an Indian wedding where they wearing Indian traditional cloth, Richard helps Indian men make bread, Richard tells Liz about norm of Indian Women when they drink 'thumbs up’ and so on. At last, she can managed her stress Liz looks easy to adapt to the environment. This may be due to experience, social and related reading material that makes Liz compatible with the culture of India.

Last part in Bali shows Liz exploring fundamental axioms of intercultural communication where she interacts with international and multicultural diversity. Liz adaptation experiences while in Italy and India. In India and Bali, we see the scenario of a belief in artistic expression such as music, sculpture, and painting. Even artistic expression that exists in a country, but it could mean different. Liz is an American who has different belief and cultures, may accept other cultures and faith. Here we see Liz trying to build intercultural skills in interacting with microcultures.

Overall, this director tried to show the cultural diversity of the world community, which may differ with us. Scene in New York, Italy, India and Bali, showing people of different backgrounds can be accepted and adapted to the elements of another culture. When one enters a different culture, a natural anxiety emerges. There are several ways to adapt to the culture and effective communication of other people. First, cope with anxiety upon entering a new culture. As Liz did that start to learn their language. The longer a person lives in a new culture, the more that person culturally tends to become more involved. Then Liz meet new people as we see in the current scene in Italy, India and Bali to build confidence in herself and ultimately learn more about the culture. Liz also dare to try something new like a new language, food, culture, beliefs and customs, dress, and she seems happy with the new culture they have learned.
