The fear of Public Speaking

The fear of public speaking is a fear that we share with many people. Speaking in public is a source of stress that can be attack people. Many of us would try to avoid this problem entirely, but sometimes this is hard to do. Public speaking apprehension is a type of communication anxiety, is the level of fear a person experiences when anticipating or actually speaking to an audience.

The sign of public speaking apprehension vary from individual to another. The Symptoms may include physical, emotional and mental reactions. The level of public speaking apprehension can be vary and gradually decreases as we speak. And researchers have identified three phases of reaction that we proceed through. These are anticipation reaction, confrontation reaction and adaption reaction. The truth is, we don’t have to be stressful. If we can understand the hidden causes of public speaking apprehension, and if we can use a few key principles in mind, speaking in public will soon become an invigorating and satisfying experience for you. The root of negative self-talk has three causes. The first one is biologically-based temperament. The second one is previous experience and the last one is level of skills.
